Some Queens Park Rangers fans may have felt a little uneasy when Luke Freeman admitted in October that his head was turned by Middlesbrough.

The midfielder made the admission while speaking to West London Sport after the summer transfer window closed.

It is unclear whether Boro plan to revive their pursuit of Freeman, but he may not be as inclined to consider an offer.

At the start of the season, QPR were in a difficult position as they lost their opening four Championship matches.

Now, though, Steve McClaren's team are in the top half of the table, only two points adrift of the play-offs.

The second tier is extremely tight at the top as only five points separate first from sixth, so if QPR maintain their current form then there is no reason why the club cannot launch a genuine promotion challenge.

Fans will be hoping that Freeman is part of that charge once the January transfer window closes.

Judging from the results of our poll, plenty of supporters are already confident that the 26-year-old is not going anywhere.
