QPR sacked Steve McClaren on Monday in the wake of a terrible run of form that saw the R’s win just once in the league since Boxing Day and thus slide down towards the relegation places.
Now begins the frantic search for a new boss and some of the names being mentioned will undoubtedly concern the Loftus Road faithful, who would have been hoping that it couldn’t possibly get much worse.
Grumpy Pundits radio host Rodney Marsh, though, thinks that there is a specific type of manager that the Hoops chiefs must be looking at:
>The only people R's can attract now are those who can't get a job elsewhere. Probably need to go recently retired. They could look at Sol Campbell….. https://t.co/jPDJraotkk

Sol Campbell might not be entirely realistic but, indeed, there is a small pool of candidates for the R’s to pick from – the ongoing uncertainty surrounding the club makes it far from an attractive role to take – so those who are currently out of work, recently so or not, are the only options for them, really.
Fortunately, that selection includes Darren Moore. The former West Brom boss was surprisingly given the boot despite the Baggies sitting pretty in fourth place and would surely relish another crack at the Championship considering his controversial expulsion from The Hawthorns.
