QPR, Preston and West Ham fans alike have all been reacting to the Hoops’ 2-1 win over Stoke, as Jordan Hugill scored just eight minutes into his debut.

After playing just three times during his stay in east London, it’s fair to say West Ham fans were happy to see the back of Hugill.

The striker joined from Preston back in January of 2018, and his nightmare stay with the Hammers ended this summer as he made the move across London to join Mark Warburton’s side on a season-long loan.

He wasted no time endearing himself to his new fans either, pouncing to score after a mistake from Stoke stopper Jack Butland.

Eberechi Eze produced a superb solo goal in the second half to double the lead, and Sam Clucas could only find a consolation for the Potters.

Hugill had a decent but not amazing record at Deepdale, racking up 30 goals in 114 appearances, and it seems all the 27 year-old needed was a jump back down to the second tier to find his stride.

Loads of fans have been reacting to his goal and overall performance, and you can see some of the best tweets down below…
