Reading striker Noel Hunt, who will be available on a free transfer in the summer, is reported to be on Stoke’s wanted list.
Hunt will fall out of contract at the end of the season but there are no signs of him putting pen-to-paper on new one and a move away from the Madejski Stadium looks to be on the cards.
Reading are willing to offer a one-year extension but Hunt wants the security of a two-year deal and will see what he can get elsewhere when his contract expires.
Newly-promoted Cardiff have been linked along with Hull, who could also be in the Premier League next season and now Stoke have also been linked with a move.
Potters boss Tony Pulis will be on the look-out for at least one new striker as both Cameron Jerome and Kenwyne Jones are expected to move on in the summer.
