Pavel Pogrebnyak says he would prefer to stay in England if he does leave Reading but will also consider offers to return to Russia.
The striker’s future remains shrouded in doubt following Reading’s relegation to the Championship and there is a chance he could stay at the Madejski Stadium to help fire the Royals back into the top flight.
However, the Russian will not be short of offers during the close season and a number of top clubs in his homeland are said to weighing up moves for him.
The 29-year-old says he will evaluate all offers but would prefer to stay in England if at all possible.
“Of course I’ll check all the offers,” he told rsport.ru. “Top teams from Russia? Of course I want to have a look at them. But I didn’t expect I would be in a situation like this.
“Of course, I’d prefer staying in England.”
