Three Reading danger men who could punish Arsenal
The League Cup comes back tomorrow night, with Arsenal taking on Reading at the Emirates Stadium.
On paper, Tuesday’s clash should be an easy obstacle for the Gunners to overcome. They’re separated from the Premier League’s summit by goal difference alone, whilst Reading are currently eighth in the second tier.
But the beauty of football lays in its unpredictability and the Royals are by no means a soft touch. They’ve lost just four games across all competitions since Jaap Stam took the helm during the summer, sweeping away Plymouth and Milton Keynes en route to the League Cup’s Round of 16.
And having endured a rather stale scoreless draw with Middlesbrough on Sunday, Arsenal aren’t exactly entering Tuesday’s clash in top form. Consequentially, there could well be an upset on the cards in north London – so here’s a close look at three Reading stars who may inspire the Gunners’ elimination from the tournament.
