Former Sheffield United winger David Brooks scored his first Premier League goal for Bournemouth in their 2-1 win against Crystal Palace at the Vitality Stadium on Monday night, and Blades fans were quick to react on Twitter.

The Wales international joined the south coast outfit for a reported fee of £11.5m during the summer transfer window despite playing just 37 times for the Yorkshire club previously, scoring three goals and providing a further eight assists.

The 21-year-old certainly displayed his attacking qualities against the Eagles and while Chris Wilder's men don't appear to be particularly missing him given their high standing in the Championship table, seeing another player they sold – just like Harry Maguire and Kyle Walker previously – shine on the biggest stage will still hurt a little.

Sheffield United supporters, 33% of whom voted on our poll believe a 2016 Wilder signing is now worth more than £20m, took to social media to give their thoughts on Brooks' goal, and while one said they've "had our pants down again”, another said "just wish we could've kept him for another 12 months".
