The majority of Sheffield Wednesday fans that answered our poll want Jos Luhukay to start Chelsea loanee Michael Hector in the game against Nottingham Forest this evening.
Wednesday’s defending was extremely poor in the 2-2 draw with Stoke at Hillsborough on Saturday as Benik Afobe scored two early goals following sweeping moves that easily cut through Luhukay’s side.
Fortunately for the Owls boss, goals from midfielders Marco Matias and Barry Bannan drew Wednesday level before Luhukay brought on Hector for his first appearance for the club, replacing attacking midfielder Adam Reach late on.
Hector began his career by coming through the academy system at Reading. After a number of loan spells he was eventually brought into the Royals team for the first time during the 2013/14 season. His performances earned him a move to his current club Chelsea in the summer of 2015, although he has since been a part of the club’s loan system and is yet to play a game for the Blues, spending the last campaign in the Championship with Hull.
It seems as though Wednesday fans are keen to see the 26-year-old start against Forest though, with 67 per cent of those who answered our poll voting for the suggestion in the hope that he will solve Luhukay’s biggest current issue. Check out the full results below.
