Sheffield Wednesday fans love update on Gary Madine’s future

Cardiff City forward Gary Madine is set to join Sheffield United on loan for the remainder of the 2018-19 campaign, according to BBC Sport.

Madine joined Cardiff from Bolton Wanderers in January 2018, but has struggled to make his mark for the now Premier League club and it is not a surprise that he is close to moving on.

Sheffield United are expected to have the chance to sign Madine on a permanent deal at the end of the season.

The centre-forward made 113 appearances for Sheffield Wednesday between 2010 and 2015, scoring 28 times in the process.

And the Wednesday supporters have been reacting to the news on social media.

It would be fair to say fans of the Owls are pleased with the transfer report when considering that Madine has previously been filmed calling Sheffield United captain Billy Sharp ‘a fat little pig’, which makes for an interesting reunion.
