Sheffield Wednesday fans are celebrating the contribution of Atdhe Nuhiu after his double secured a vital three points away to Leeds United on Saturday.
At risk of being dragged into a relegation battle at the bottom of the English Championship, the 2-1 win ensures the Owls are now eight points ahead of Birmingham City in 22nd, with four teams between them as a buffer.
Jos Luhukay’s side had to work hard for their win, going ahead in the 71st minute, before being pegged back in the 86th minute by Jay-Roy Grot.
However, Nuhiu followed up his opener in injury time, showing great strength to hold off Leeds defenders and finish smartly for the victory.
The Kosovan international has received criticism for poor form and missed chances at points this season but seems to pop up with important goals and few have been bigger than today’s.
Fans took to Twitter to share their thoughts on his performance…

Nuhiu: the man is like Lazarus. Doesn't score a goal for 2 years and now he can't stop banging them in. #swfc
