Sheffield Wednesday fans have been discussing Jordan Rhodes’s potential move to Norwich, and it seems fans are on board with shipping the striker… for the right price.
According to The Star, the Owls will allow Rhodes to leave the club this summer, but have slapped a £3m loan fee on the 28 year-old.
Rhodes swapped the Riverside for Hillsborough last summer after a successful loan stint with the Owls, but his first full season with the club did not go to plan.
The Scottish international certainly knows where the back of the net is, grabbing over 70 league goals for Huddersfield and over 80 for Blackburn, but it just didn’t go for him last season.
Rhodes scored just five times in the Championship, and it seems the club are now happy to offload him.
While Norwich and Sheffield United fans have bashed the reported £3m loan price tag, Owls’ fans are delighted they are going to get something for the striker, especially after the George Hirst saga cost the club a potential transfer fee.

Glad to hear it! Under previous owners we let our best players leave for next to nothing. Good to see DC isn’t prepared to do the same. UTO 🔵⚪️🔵

Don’t speak for every fan. Personally the fact we aren’t willing to practically give players away any more is fantastic! #swfc

Norwich have just got upwards of 20mil for maddison if they want Rhodes they can buy him surely they can afford 5-6 mil with that in the bank or pay a 2-3 mil loan fee plus full wages #simples #swfc #ncfc https://t.co/64UeAmiKyE

Maybe the Rhodes move could be more than a loan. Maybe a loan and buy or an option to buy. Part of loan fee may eventually be factored into the final payment. Doesn’t have to be a straight forward £3mill for a 12 month player hire #swfc
