Sheffield Wednesday have been one of the clubs who have had to rearrange their fixture calendar for the festive period.
Sky Sports have selected two of the Owls’ Championship games to broadcast live during the busy football schedule.
Via their official website, Sheffield Wednesday’s clash against Wolverhampton Wanderers at Hillsborough has moved from Saturday, December 16 to Friday, December 15.
In addition, the Owls’ head to head with arch rivals Sheffield United at Bramall Lane will be aired by Sky on Friday, January 12 – a day before it was originally scheduled for.
The alterations of times and dates when it comes to matches can cause havoc for the fans, particularly if they have had to change their personal schedules to fit in the action.
After the announcement was made, fans took to Twitter to criticise the decisions, particularly in relation to the Steel City derby due to the fact that it will now be held on a Friday night.
Blades v Owls on a Friday night. Fans allowed to drink all day and all night. What could possibly go wrong?

Interesting that SAG have allowed a Sheffield derby to take place late in the day when fans can get tanked up? How's that happened?
