Sheffield Wednesday are reportedly in talks to sign Fulham attacker Neeskens Kebano, but is he good enough to steer the Owls away from a relegation scrap?
Sheffield Wednesday will likely be closer to the relegation zone than the playoff places when Steve Bruce takes over, and the Owls desperately need some goals in the side.
The club’s financial troubles of course means Bruce is unlikely to get a marquee signing to lead his line, and the Sheffield Star claims he has turned his attention to a Premier League outcast.
According to the Star’s exclusive, the Owls are in talks to sign Kebano on loan, with the 26 year-old having played just 43 Premier League minutes this season.
Well, there’s not much to say about Kebano’s season so far, as the DR Congo international has been limited to cup showings and the occasional substitute appearance.
However, his versatility will certainly appeal to Bruce, as the speedy front man can play anywhere across the attack, though he is typically deployed in the number ten position.
Kebano, who has scored five times in 19 caps for DR Congo, found his best goalscoring form in Belgium, where he bagged 24 goals and 16 assists in nearly 100 Jupiler League showings.

He has struck nine times and added six assists since joining Fulham in 2016, and actually bagged a brace against the Owls on the final day of the 2016-17 season, on a day where he absolutely dominated Liam Palmer.
The Fulham outcast may not be cutting it in the top flight, but his speed, trickery, versatility and ability to add goals from midfield will be a huge boost for Bruce.
