Wednesday fans get a glimpse of a better future with Preston victory

Jos Luhukay has battled with a spate of injuries since taking over at Sheffield Wednesday but the club are surely safe now and can start looking ahead to next season after a 4-1 thrashing of play-off chasing Preston North End.

Adthe Nuhiu netted twice, including a late goal of the month contender, along with Lucas Joao and Fernando Forestieri, who added a late fourth as he made his return after six months out.

Forestieri has been sorely missed by the Owls this season and having him back on the Hillsborough pitch will be just as pleasing as the emphatic result for both Luhukay and the Wednesday fans.

The Owls supporters will hope that this result can prove to be something of a turning point and point the way towards an improved season next time around. With Forestieri back fit and firing, anything is possible.
