Wrong un: Sheffield Wednesday fans react to Gary Madine’s celebrations

Gary Madine has kicked up a storm on Twitter after he mocked his former club with his celebrations after Sheffield United were promoted to the Premier League.

The former Wednesday man mocked his former club after the Blades’ draw against Stoke on the final day of the season and, after the video emerged on social media, Wednesdayites had their say.

Madine was shown singing ‘Mind the gap Sheffield Wednesday’, taking a dig at his former employers and the fans who used to adore him.

It boiled the blood of certain Owls supporters, whilst others said that they couldn’t care less, claiming that the striker isn’t relevant enough to even react to.

One fan made a below the belt jab at the striker saying that he may have picked up his attitude during his spell in prison.

The 28-year-old showed clear disrespect for his former club and he certainly won’t get a warm reception next time he lines up at Hillsborough.
