African attacker completes medical ahead of Stoke City transfer

According to reports from KingFut, Egypt winger Ramadan Sobhi has completed a medical at Stoke City.

The 19-year-old has emerged as one of the most exciting youngsters in African football since making his debut for current employers Al Ahly in February 2014 – then aged just 16.

Indeed, the attacking-midfielder-come-wide-man has gone on to make eleven goals and 52 appearances at senior level – including a return of five goals in 28 outings last season as Al Ahly lifted the Egyptian Premier League title.

Sobhi has also established himself as a regular for the Egyptian national team with six caps and one goal now under his belt.

Stoke City have been linked with the teenager frequently since of the start of July and chief executive Tony Scholes told BBC Radio Stoke last week that the much-speculated deal was “99%” complete.

And it appears Sobhi’s arrival at the Britannia Stadium is only coming closer to fruition. In an exclusive released last Friday, KingFut claim the youngster’s agent has confirmed he’s completed a medical with the Premier League side.

The Sun believe Sobhi’s transfer will be worth around £5million.
