The Ecuadorian front-man is just 21 years of age but already boasts 25 goals in 38 appearances for Independiente.
That includes a potent return of 14 goals in as many outings during the 2015 campaign and six goals amid his side’s march to the Copa Libertadores final.
That prolific run has attracted some of Europe’s biggest clubs the South American starlet, according to his agent.
Indeed, one of Angulo’s representatives is believed to have ‘fielded’ interest from Atletico Madrid, Sevilla and Italian outfit Palermo.
And the other, Matias Lipman, claims Stoke City and Monaco have also expressed an interest in snapping up the prodigious goalscorer.
He recently told The Guardian; “So far Stoke and Monaco have shown an interest but I’m sure when the Copa Libertadores final game is played there will be other Premier League clubs involved.”
The Potters are known to be targeting a new centre-forward, having already tabled a bid for West Bromwich Albion’s wantaway strike starlet Saido Berahino.
