Everton transfer target Marko Arnautovic has signed a new contract at Stoke City, confirming the deal via his official Instagram account.
Sky Austria reported earlier this week that the Toffees were on the verge of activating a £12.5million release clause in the winger-forward's contract after agreeing the terms of a four-year deal.
But that was quickly contradicted by English sources, claiming the 27-year-old would snub a transfer to Goodison Park in favour of signing an improved contract at the Bet365 Stadium, with his current deal due to expire at the end of next season.
And the 55-cap Austrian international, who made three appearances for his country at Euro 2016, has now put pen to paper on a new Stoke City contract - confirming the deal via his official Instagram account.
I am proud and thrilled to finally let you know that I am going to stay a Potter and will continue playing with my team and for my fantastic fans. I suppose some times it takes a bit longer to make the right decision and this one comes from my heart. My family and I could not be happier.
