The prodigious forward infamously fell out with the Hawthorns hierarchy last summer as they blocked a late move to Tottenham Hotspur.
As a consequence, the 22-year-old made just 17 Premier League starts last season, scoring four goals, with tensions increasing between Berahino and manager Tony Pulis.
It seemed inevitable Berahino would be allowed to leave the club during the current window, especially with his Baggies contract entering its final twelve months.
Stoke City have been linked with the former England U21 frequently in recent weeks and have reportedly tabled a £16million bid already.
But according to Sky Sports, West Brom are now looking to keep Berahino at the club and hope to tie him down to a new four-year contract.
However, the Burundi-born forward is yet to respond to the offer and is still expected to push for a summer move.
