Man United mega transfer holds key to Stoke swoop for title winner

According to reports from The Guardian, Stoke City’s pursuit of Juventus midfielder Mario Lemina could depend on whether Paul Pogba completes a transfer to Manchester United.

The Potters have been linked with the Gabon international by a number of sources in recent weeks, not least including Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio and The Guardian.

In fact, the latter publication claim the Britannia Stadium outfit have lodged a £12million bid for the 22-year-old, who contributed two goals and ten appearances to the Old Lady’s 2015/16 Serie A title.

However, Juventus have informed Stoke that their offer won’t receive an official response until they return from a pre-season tour of Austria.

And it’s further claimed that Lemina’s potential move to the Potteries could depend on whether team-mate Paul Pogba completes his much-speculated move to Manchester United.

The Red Devils tabled an £85million bid for the France international yesterday and it appears the Italian champions are reluctant to part with both midfielders during the same transfer window.
