Serie A giants reportedly interested in Stoke City keeper

Serie A giants Inter Milan are interested in signing Stoke City goalkeeper Asmir Begovic, according to the Sunday People.

The Italian side have reportedly been monitoring the shot stopper’s situation as he enters the final year of his contract at the Britannia Stadium and have been encouraged by comments from the man himself that suggest he may not stay with the Potters.

27 year-old Begovic is scheduled to hold talks with Stoke bosses over the summer to discuss whether their direction can match his ambitions.

The Potters would not have to worry about looking for another keeper as they do already possess a ready-made replacement at the club in the shape of Jack Butland – who has spent time out on loan in the Championship but recently signed a contract extension.

Arsenal and Liverpool are also believed to be interested in Begovic – who signed for Stoke in 2010 from Portsmouth – were he to become available.
