Charlie Adam is calling on Stoke to bounce back against Queens Park Rangers and pick up one of the two wins they will need to stay up.

Sunday's defeat to Manchester United leaves the Potters on 34 points, just three above the drop zone, but Wigan, who occupy 18th position, have two games in hand.

Even so, two victories from the last five games should be enough to keep Stoke in the Premier League. That will be easier said than done taking into consideration the awful run Stoke are on at the moment but Adam says confidence is still high in the camp and they are capable of getting a result at Loftus Road.

"If we can win a couple of games then hopefully that will be good enough," he told the Sentinel. "We need to start next week and hopefully pick up three points.

"The confidence is there but I think we need a little bit of luck. Hopefully we can get that next week. It is going to be an edgy match, but hopefully we can go there and stifle them, get on top of them and get a victory."
