Stoke City fans disappointed by club’s decision to send Ngoy on loan

It has not been the best year for Stoke City as they were relegated from the Premier League last season and have struggled to get off the mark in the Championship.

In fact, Gary Rowett’s side have picked up just one win in their five league fixtures, which has left them 17th in the standings on five points.

With the loan market due to close on Friday, the Potters still have some time to clinch some late deals.

However, on Wednesday, some transfer news announced by the club was relating to a departure rather than an incoming.

Young Belgian attacker Julien Ngoy has finalised a move to Grasshopper Club Zurich on a season-long loan.

The 20-year-old has come through Stoke’s academy, and has made six league appearances for the club so far.

The youngster impressed in the Premier League 2 division having scored 10 goals in 28 matches, and last season he spent the second half of the campaign on loan at Walsall, where he made 13 league outings and scored three times.

After Ngoy’s loan switch to Switzerland was announced, some Stoke fans posted their thoughts on Twitter.
