Saido Berahino was once tipped to become a fully-fledged England international, but his career took a downward turn in the final few years of his time at West Bromwich Albion.

The striker lost form and had fitness issues, which eventually resulted in him joining Stoke City in 2017.

The 25-year-old has struggled in front of goal for some time; in fact before Tuesday night he had not found the back of the net for two-and-a-half years.

That all changed at the Bet365 Stadium when Premier League opposition Huddersfield Town arrived for an EFL Cup clash.

The Potters won 2-0 and Berahino opened the scoring in the 53rd minute, and it was a big moment for the attacker as he was surrounded by his teammates in celebration.

Stoke clinched the win thanks to a spectacular own goal from Juninho Bacuna, whose clearance from 50 yards out ended up in the Terriers' goal.

On Twitter, plenty of Potters' fans took a moment to praise Berahino for finding his shooting boots again.
