Celtic manager Neil Lennon is said to be a target for Stoke as doubts continue to surround the future of boss Tony Pulis.
Pulis has been under heavy pressure at the Britannia Stadium as the Potters have flirted with relegation and there have been suggestions he could move on in the close season.
Stoke are guaranteed a sixth consecutive season in the Premier League but the slump of form in the second half of the campaign set alarm bells ringing in the corridors of power at the club.
Pulis will not walk away so he will have to be sacked and that would seem harsh after everything he has achieved for the Potters.
However, speculation refuses to go away with reports claiming that Lennon has joined Arsenal number two Steve Bould on Stoke’s list of targets should Pulis go.
Lennon has made no secret of the fact he would like to manage in England and Everton have also been heavily linked as they look to replace Manchester United-bound David Moyes.
