Stoke goalkeeper Asmir Begovic says he is prepared to stay at the Britannia Stadium as long as the club can match his ambitions.
Begovic has been heavily linked with a move away from the Britannia Stadium with Manchester United and Arsenal known to be among the clubs interested, but there is still a chance he could stay.
Boss Tony Pulis says he is in no rush to sell either, insisting Jack Butland was not brought in as his replacement, and now Begovic has said he is happy to stay as long as the Potters will not be fighting another relegation battle next season.
“We haven’t spoken at all yet, but I think we will sit down this week and formulate plans from there,” he revealed. “All the speculation is flattering and nice, but as long as Stoke want me, I am contracted here.
“I am happy here and desperate to help the club push forward, as long as they are moving in the right direction. I have ambition to play at the highest level and test myself at that standard, if the opportunity arises.”
