Ryan Shawcross has made 431 appearances for Stoke City in all competitions.

He is the club captain and has played every minute of the team's last 12 Championship matches.

At 31, Shawcross should still have a few good years left in him, but the Stoke fans have seemingly had enough of the towering defender.

Indeed, the former Manchester United youngster struggled during Stoke's 3-1 defeat to Brentford on Saturday, which was Nathan Jones' first match as head coach.

There is no question that Shawcross is a Stoke legend, but things move on in football and the majority of the Championship club's fans have called on Jones to make a huge decision on the defender's future.

Shawcross has certainly looked clumsy during a number of matches this season and the loss to Brentford on Saturday left the team in 14th spot in the table.

The Stoke fans took to social media after the clash with the Bees to express their disappointment, with Shawcross taking a lot of the criticism.
