Stoke star demands action or January move

Brek Shea (Stoke)Stoke winger Brek Shea says that he need regular action ahead of the World Cup, whether that be with the Potters or another club.

The American international moved to the Britannia Stadium from FC Dallas last January in a £2.5m deal after earning a reputation as one of the MLS’s top talents.

He featured infrequently under former boss Tony Pulis and has been pushed further from the starting XI since Mark Hughes’ arrival.

‘Sparky’ has refused to even make Shea a part of his match day squad in any Premier League tie this season, leaving the 23-year-old frustrated.

The wide-man is desperate to represent the USA in Brazil next year, but knows that he needs to be performing regularly in order to do so.

As a result, he has urged Hughes to make up his mind as to whether he is needed or allowed to leave in search of playing time.

“I’ve got to get playing, whether here or on loan somewhere,” Shea told The Mirror.

“It’s up to the gaffer and hopefully he tells me something soon.”

A loan move to the Championship has been mooted, with Derby thought to be in the running.

Should Mark Hughes keep Brek Shea at Stoke?
