Stoke City defender Marc Muniesa has joined Girona for an undisclosed fee after making his loan move permanent.
The 26-year-old central defender joined Stoke City from Barcelona on a free in 2013 and went on to make 57 league appearances for the Potters, scoring once.
He became a real fan-favourite but his game time was limited by injuries.

Stoke fans will be disappointed to see Muniesa leave the club as he had a real bond with supporters and he looked like he could be a star back when he first signed.
However, his problems with injury meant he couldn’t sustain a run in the first-team and it seemed inevitable that he would make his loan move to Girona permanent.
Gary Rowett will be happy to recoup whatever money he can to reinvest in a squad that needs an overhaul this summer.
