Three reasons Stoke City could shock Liverpool

Stoke City will look to bounce back from their disappointing 2-2 draw against champions Leicester City at the Britannia Stadium when they face Premier League title hopefuls Liverpool at Anfield on Tuesday.

The Potters looked to be cruising to a straightforward home victory as they led the 10-man Foxes 2-0 with 15 minutes to go following the first half dismissal of Jamie Vardy. But goals from Leonardo Ulloa and Daniel Amartey cancelled out a penalty from Bojan and a Joe Allen tap-in as the visitors claimed an unlikely point.

It was Mark Hughes’ side second home draw in the space of three days and they will be looking to take all three points when they travel north to Merseyside.

It will be no easy task though, with Jurgen Klopp’s men currently lying second in the standings – six points behind leaders Chelsea.
