Swansea City face a tough FA Cup test against fellow Championship side Brentford at the Liberty Stadium on Sunday. Both sides will be keen to progress in the competition, though Graham Potter may also view the fixture as an opportunity to rotate his team a little.
With the Swans still aspiring towards the play-offs, Potter would be wise to rest one or two key figures this weekend. He should also take this opportunity to give some game time to some talented prospects who are on the fringes of his first team.
20-year-old attacking midfielder Yan Dhanda and 19-year-old academy striker Liam Cullen could both be brought into the matchday squad to face Brentford. Former Liverpool man Dhanda has scarcely featured for the first team this season, whilst Cullen has only the single League Cup outing under his belt.
Both are talented attackers though who could rise to the challenge that Sunday poses, and in doing so they would bolster Potter’s options for the remainder of the season. The manager should not miss this chance to test what these two are really made of.
