According to the results of our recent poll, a large majority of Swansea fans think that 31-year-old winger Nathan Dyer should have a long-term future at the club.
The Swans suffered a disappointing 3-2 loss to Hull on Saturday and Dyer was guilty of missing chances after Wilfried Bony had put Graham Potter’s side into an early lead.
Despite this, Dyer’s recent revival has been good news for Swansea. At the end of November, Potter claimed that both Dyer and fellow veteran winger Wayne Routledge were free to leave in the January transfer window, as he had tended to put his faith in youth since taking over in South Wales.
However, since then both players have proven that they have plenty to offer the Championship side in terms of experience and ability, and 82 per cent of the Swansea fans that answered our recent poll said that Dyer should remain at the Liberty Stadium beyond January.
