According to the results of a recent Football FanCast poll, a large majority of Swansea fans want Graham Potter to hijack Fulham’s move for Bournemouth striker Lys Mousset.
The 22-year-old Frenchman has only made seven starts for the Cherries since his move from Le Havre in 2016, but after his impressive performance in the recent Carabao Cup loss to Chelsea, Eddie Howe told Sky Sports that Mousset would be an important part of the club’s future.
Because of this Fulham may not succeed with their permanent offer, and 82 per cent of Swansea fans were keen for Potter to make a loan move to get the jump on the Premier League side.
Mousset is a technical player and his fitness is a big asset, meaning he would fit well in Potter’s high-tempo, high-press system.
Signing a striker on loan should be a priority for the Swans too as they are currently reliant on Oliver McBurnie for the majority of their goals as Wilfried Bony looks to find form after his long-term injury.
