The Swansea fans that answered our poll were split on whether their boss Graham Potter should make a move for Didier Ndong, who recently had his contract terminated at Sunderland after he failed to return for pre-season training in July and eventually arrived back at the club in September.

Ndong was contracted until 2021 at the Stadium of Light but, inexplicably, he and Papy Djilobodji both did not report back in the summer after the club were relegated to League One at the end of last season.

Both players have now been fired by the Black Cats, but with Swansea's recent injury problems it wouldn't be out of the question for Potter to target defensive midfielder Ndong.

The Gabonese international, who has 19 caps for his country, played 21 times in all competitions for the Black Cats last season and is valued at £7.2m by Transfermarkt.

At just 24-years-old Ndong is yet to reach his peak in terms of both footballing ability and maturity, so could turn out to be an impressive free signing if he is able to perform, but 53 per cent of the Swansea fans that responded to our poll thought the Welsh club should avoid him.
