Swansea chairman Huw Jenkins has given his biggest indication yet that manager Garry Monk could be sacked, report Sky Sports.
The 36-year old coach has been under increasing pressure at the helm of the Welsh club despite leading them to a lofty 8th place position last term.
Just one win in eleven games has seen his job under threat as he teeters on the brink of losing the position he has held since the departure of Michael Laudrup in February 2014.
Now, Jenkins has broken his silence over their slide down the Premier League as the inexperienced manager’s position looks increasingly precarious.
‘We all feel at the club that something needs to change to get things back on a positive note’, he revealed while picking up his OBE for services to sport in Wales.
A stalwart at the Liberty Stadium, Monk has been with the club since 2002 and was a huge part of the defence that rose up the Football League before promotion in 2011.
The Swans were in the top four at the start of the season after an impressive period saw him named Manager of the Month in August.
However, an alarming slide down the league has left him seemingly on the verge of losing his job.
