Angel Rangel and Chico Flores are hoping to shake off respective injury problems in time for Swansea‘s trip to Norwich on Saturday.
Flores is battling to overcome an ankle problem which forced him out of last weekend’s 2-1 defeat to Tottenham at the Liberty Stadium, while Rangel missed the game because of a calf problem.
Both players have been on the training pitch this week but nobody at the club is willing to give a definitive answer as to whether they will be in contention to feature at Carrow Road as the Swans look to end a three-match losing streak.
Michael Laudrup opted to start with wingers Wayne Routledge, Nathan Dyer and Pablo Hernandez against Spurs while Ki Sung-Yueng is pushing for a recall this Saturday.
The South Korean has been disappointed with the recent run but does not feel wholesale changes are required regarding their style of play.
“I think a lot is made out of one side losing a few games in a row, but in this league it can happen to any team,” said Ki in the Evening Post.
“But when I look back at the games against West Brom, Arsenal and Spurs, I don’t think we played badly in them.
“We are frustrated we have not picked up a point in those games, but we are playing in a way which has got us to the top half of the Premier League and the club’s first major trophy.
“So, considering those factors, I think we don’t need to change a thing for the games ahead.
“I also think we can learn from earlier in the season when we lost three in a row. We didn’t panic then, we just kept doing our thing and the results quickly came.”
