Paul Robinson has been speaking about West Bromwich Albion keeping Grady Diangana on loan from West Ham United, as reported by Football Insider.

What did he say?

Slaven Bilic confirmed to BBC Sport that the 21-year-old will be staying with the Baggies for the rest of the season.

With the club currently sitting top of the Championship table, they will be looking for every boost that they can get for their efforts to earn promotion to the Premier League.

Robinson has suggested that this is certainly classed as one of those: “I’d say it’s like a new signing. The confirmation of him staying, in their league position, it’s a massive boost to them.

“He’s been one of the best players this season, and to have him until the end of the season in that promotion push is probably key.”

A massive boost

When looking at the way Diangana has performed since his temporary move to the Hawthorns started, it is easy to see why this news is seen as such a boost for their promotion chances.

So far this campaign, the England youth international has made 17 starts in the Championship, adding four appearances off the bench, amassing five goals and five assists during that time.

There have been certain games where the 21-year-old has really stood out, such as the 2-1 win against Luton Town in which he came off the bench to bag a brace, as well as his goal and assist that secured victory against Cardiff City.

Who the heck is that?! Can you name all of these obscure West Brom players...

He has been a very direct threat with the ball at his feet, making 1.3 key passes and 2.3 dribbles per outing, while being fouled 1.4 times on average.

This sees Diangana make the most dribbles of any West Brom player so far, while Matheus Pereira and Matt Phillips are the only ones to average more key passes.

With that in mind, having Diangana as part of their attack for the rest of the campaign can only be a good thing for the Baggies' promotion hopes.

Meanwhile, a West Brom player has been lauded by fans for their contribution to the FA Cup win against West Ham.
