Oliver Burke hasn't had the best of times at West Bromwich Albion. Signed for £15m, he's largely been a flop, failing to ever reach the heights expected of him after bursting onto the scene at Nottingham Forest.

After joining Celtic on loan in January, he began to find some form under Brendan Rodgers. However, when the Northern Irishman left, his performances dropped off as he ended the season with a string of poor displays.

But after being called up to the Scottish national team for the recent international break, Burke was back among the goals.

He found the net with an 89th minute strike to give Scotland the lead against Cyprus, prodding home into an empty goal after his initial header hit the post.

And reacting to the strike on Twitter, West Brom fans were quick to discuss his future. One supporter responded by calling him a brilliant player, claiming the 22-year-old never had an opportunity at Albion.

A further fan speculated whether he could play up front next term, a role he featured in for Celtic whilst on loan. Another member of the Hawthorns faithful suggested that Slaven Bilic, who has held talks with the club, could get him scoring over 20 goals a season.

Burke has only played 21 times for the Baggies, scoring a solitary goal in his two years with the club.

Here's the best of the reaction.
