Some West Bromwich Albion fans have jokingly called on their club to attempt to re-sign Romelu Lukaku in this summer’s transfer window.
Lukaku is currently being tipped to leave Manchester United at the end of the season.
Indeed, the Belgium international managed just 15 goals for the Red Devils during the 2018-19 campaign, with his form particularly disappointing in recent weeks.
Paris Saint-Germain and Inter Milan are said to be the two clubs showing the strongest interest as things stand.
However, a selection of West Brom supporters have urged their club to make a bid to re-sign the 25-year-old, who is valued at £76.5 million by Transfermarkt.
Lukaku spent the 2012-13 season on loan with the Baggies from Chelsea, and found the back of the net on 17 occasions in 35 appearances.
West Brom might be battling to return to the Premier League, but it would be some turn-up if Lukaku ended up back at the Hawthorns.
A selection of the Twitter reaction from the Championship outfit’s fans can be seen below:

Top player. I so wish we still had him. Best memory of him was when he smashed O’Shea out of the way on the half way line and then went onto score…..☺️☺️
