According to Express and Star, West Bromwich Albion have had a bid worth £800k accepted for Kamil Grosicki.

The 31-year-old winger is having a decent season in the Championship, having already scored eight goals and assisted a further four in the process as well.

But who exactly is this Poland international and what have the experts said about him?

Let's find out what type of player looks set to be heading to the Hawthorns...

Jackson Irvine, Grosicki's teammate

Irvine believes that his friend and teammate is a player of exceptional quality.

Last year, when Grosicki was firing on all cylinders, following Hull’s 3-1 win over Reading at the KCOM Stadium, Irvine heaped praise on him and called him unplayable when he's at his best.

Here's what he said in full, as per Hull Live:

"But Kamil, you play a high-line here at your peril with his pace and movement.

"He caused them so many problems. When he’s at his best he’s unplayable. You can’t afford to give him that much pace to run in behind."

Grant McCann, Hull City manager

McCann is among those people who know Grosicki best and he seems to be delighted with what his player has shown when donning their colours.

At the beginning of the season, the gaffer was speaking about the veteran and commended him for both his skill and his personality.

Here's what he said in full, as per Hull's official website:

"He’s been outstanding since I’ve been here. All I can speak about is what I’ve seen and for me, he’s one of the best wide players in the league, if not the best on his day.

"He’s so quick, dynamic, he can hurt anyone in the blink of an eye. He’s a great character. The boys love him around the building. He’s always smiling and chirpy. That’s just the way Kamil lives his life."

Nigel Adkins, former Hull City manager

Another manager that was in awe of Grosicki is his former gaffer Nigel Adkins, who was replaced by McCann last summer.

Speaking about the player in 2018, he hailed his undoubted ability and commitment to the team.

Here's what he said, as quoted by Hull City's official website:

"He’s committed to the team and he’s working his socks off. We know he’s got undoubted ability and quality.

"For the period of time he was out, mentally and physically it just needs time to get back into it. But you’ve seen now that we’ve got a team that’s having a right good go for each other. They’re all working as a team and Kamil is part of that.

"I’ll always give everyone the opportunity and Kamil has gone and done it. I can’t praise him highly enough. We want to be excited by Kamil but he’s part of the team, running up and down and tracking back. That’s what we want."

Verdict

It seems that Grosicki is a hardworking winger who has the quality to compete at a high level.

Needless to say, judging by the comments of those who know him well, West Brom could be about to get their hands on an excellent player.
