Dropping into the Championship meant that West Bromwich Albion did not have much money to play with in the summer transfer market.

One of the club's signings, though, has proven to be a steal given that they nabbed him on loan for the season.

Harvey Barnes joined from Leicester City on a temporary deal and has hugely impressed.

The 20-year-old has taken on the number 10 role, linking up well with Dwight Gayle and Jay Rodriguez.

Barnes has started all 12 of the Baggies' Championship matches and has also appeared in two EFL Cup contests.

During that time the youngster has scored five goals and racked up three assists.

The attack-minded star only signed his first professional contract two years ago, but at this rate his price tag will rise quickly.

Plenty will depend on how he finishes the season, but if he remains consistent Leicester may have a battle on their hands to keep hold of the promising youngster.

Judging on his current form, is Barnes worth double figures?
