HYS: Should Gareth Barry retain his place in the West Brom side against Wigan?

Gareth Barry has started to break back into Darren Moore’s starting XI in recent weeks, as he has rotated the position alongside Jake Livermore in central midfield with former winger Chris Brunt, but here at Football FanCast we would like to know who West Brom fans would like to start against Wigan on Saturday.

The Baggies have had a fantastic start to their Championship return after their relegation from the Premier League at the end of the last campaign, and currently sit second in the table behind Sheffield United.

Going forward, the attacking trio of Jay Rodriguez, Harvey Barnes and Dwight Gayle have been on fire and the West Midlands side have scored an incredible 31 goals in their opening 12 league games. However, Brunt looked shaky at the start of the season in central midfield and Moore doesn’t seem keen to use 20-year-old Sam Field.

This means that the Baggies boss must stick with Barry, who was a Premier League winner with Manchester City, for his 10th appearance of the season in all competitions when they visit Wigan on Saturday.

So, West Brom fans, who would you go with alongside Livermore in central midfield on the weekend? Have your say by voting in the poll below.
