West Brom went to the top of the Championship over the weekend after beating Preston North End 3-2 at Deepdale, whereas Leeds were held to a 1-1 draw with Sheffield Wednesday.

It was a quiet first-half as the teams went into the break at 0-0, but the game burst into life in the second period after Jay Rodriguez broke the deadlock just three minutes in.

Preston’s Andrew Hughes then pulled one back, but Darren Moore’s in-form West Brom were back in the lead just two minutes later after a Ben Davies own goal. Then, with two minutes of normal time remaining Dwight Gayle whipped a fantastic long-range free-kick past Chris Maxwell in the Preston net for his sixth league goal of the season so far.

Alan Browne pulled one back in the sixth minute of injury time, but it wasn't enough to stop the Baggies going top. Moore handed veteran midfielder Gareth Barry a start on Saturday ahead of Chris Brunt who has been Jake Livermore's regular partner, but against Sheffield Wednesday in midweek he should go with 20-year-old Sam Field who would offer more mobility in the heart of the team.

So, West Brom fans, should Moore bring Field or Brunt in for the Championship tie on Wednesday, or would it be a mistake to change a winning team thus ensuring 37-year-old Barry gets another start? Have your say by voting below.
