Slaven Bilic may not have been at West Brom very long but reports suggest he's already plotting reunions with four players from his previous days in management.

At Besiktas, Tolgay Arslan has been linked with a switch whilst Reece Oxford, Sam Byram and Carl Jenkinson are also being touted.

Albion are reportedly already in talks with the latter over a deal but it remains to be seen whether they'll actually get it over the line.

Jenkinson, of course, played under Bilic at West Ham, being picked up by the Croatian for a second stint at the Hammers after initially playing on loan the season before.

He benefitted significantly from regular game time in 2014/15, starting 29 matches. However, the time he spent with Bilic was unfortunately not as productive.

The Englishman's performances down the years for Arsenal haven't been too convincing and despite a move away having the potential to revive his career, it could equally go up in smoke.

That's based on the statistical evidence from Jenkinson's time under Bilic previously.

Before injury, he started 13 Premier League matches whilst appearing as a substitute on a further seven.

The most impressive stat that he managed to accumulate was the number of clearances he made per game. At a rate of 2.7, it was better than Mason Holgate's 2.4 that he averaged in the West Brom side last term.

However, as far as his other numbers go, Bilic would need to get far more out of Jenkinson in order for him to replace Holgate sufficiently.

Despite scoring twice, the full-back's impact in the final third was concerning, making just 0.4 crosses per game in 2015/16.

Considering he liked to get forward this is a ratio that could have been far better and perhaps also provides evidence that Bilic doesn't like his full-backs to create much width.

West Brom lacked a great deal going forward from right-back last term so this is something that could remain an issue if they land Jenkinson.

But the most concerning aspect will be in terms of his defensive capabilities.

In regards to tackles and interceptions, he is also far worse than Holgate, mustering some pretty low numbers despite playing in a side who will have had to do more defending.

Comparing the 27-year-old's numbers to Holgate, the latter made 2.7 tackles and 1.6 interceptions per game compared to the sub-par stats that Albion's target provided.

As a result, Bilic and Jenkinson will need a far greater understanding of each other if they link up again.
