West Brom’s Youssouf Mulumbu remains relaxed over his future and hopes to sign a contract extension in the summer.
Last month Baggies boss Steve Clarke revealed the club were in talks with Mulumbu regarding a new deal, but the 26-year-old remains relaxed over his future.
Mulumbu is under contract until 2015, with a further year’s option in the club’s favour, and the midfielder hopes to agree to an extension when the current campaign comes to a close.
“We’re still talking but there is no rush,” he told the club’s official website.
“The most important thing is the team.
“We will carry on discussing my contract and I think step-by-step we’re going to find a good situation for me and for the club.”
He added: “I’m hopeful we can sort something out. Football is strange sometimes so there is no rush and we’ll see what happens in the summer.”
