The majority of the West Brom fans that responded to our recent poll said that they would support a loan move for Everton youngster Mason Holgate in January.

According to a recent report from the Daily Mirror, the 22-year-old defender has been told by Marco Silva that he can leave Goodison Park on a temporary basis in order to get the game time he needs to develop.

Holgate has been a fixture in the Everton side of the past two seasons, playing 21 times in each. However, Silva brought in a raft of new talent over the summer and the former England U21 international now finds himself below Michael Keane, Kurt Zouma and Yerry Mina in the pecking order.

He could be a fantastic signing for Darren Moore at West Brom though. The Baggies are currently sitting in third place in the Championship, but it would be no surprise to see Moore add to his central defensive options in the winter transfer window.

Holgate's pace and ability on the ball would see him come in ahead of summer signing Kyle Bartley, and could mean that Moore is able to play his preferred 3-4-1-2 formation once again.
