According to Goal, 30-year-old winger Bakary Sako rejected a new contract with Crystal Palace this summer and has now been left without a club.
The Mali international has four goals in just nine appearances for his country and netted six last season for the Eagles despite making just 19 appearances in all competitions for Roy Hodgson’s side.
With Belgian winger Nacer Chadli set to leave West Brom this summer after an impressive World Cup, Sako could be the perfect signing to replace him and would be available on a free transfer, whereas Chadli’s price will have recently gone up after his release clause expired, according to the Express and Star.
With pace and power to burn, Sako could be the perfect man to fire the Baggies back to the Premier League and it is clear after their opening weekend loss at home to Bolton that boss Darren Moore will need to add proven quality to his side before the window closes on Thursday.
It’s clear that the West Brom fans would be behind this transfer, with 77 per cent of those we polled backing a move. Check out the full results below.
