According to our recent poll, a huge majority of West Brom fans would prefer the rumoured £20m (The Sun on Sunday, October 7, page 60) that has been set aside for Bradley Dack to actually be spent on permanent deals for current loanees Harvey Barnes and Dwight Gayle.

The Baggies have had a fantastic start to the season under boss Darren Moore, who was given the job on a permanent basis in the summer after impressing as caretaker manager despite the club suffering relegation from the Premier League at the end of the last campaign.

The West Midlands side now sit in second place in the Championship though, thanks in part to two fantastic loan signings that Moore made in the most recent transfer window. Dwight Gayle arrived from Newcastle, with Salomon Rondon heading the other way, and the 27-year-old already has eight goals in 11 Championship appearances.

Attacking midfielder Harvey Barnes also arrived on a temporary deal from Leicester, and the 20-year-old has five goals and three assists for the club already. This meant that 96 per cent of the West Brom fans that answered our poll want to see Moore attempt to sign those two on permanent deals rather than spending £20m Dack, who is tearing up the Championship with Blackburn.
