Discussion has been rife over who may take the permanent West Brom job after Darren Moore's sacking.

Talks have been held with Slavisa Jokanovic's representatives whilst Alex Neil has also attracted interest. However, there have also been reports suggesting caretaker manager James Shan will be given it until the end of the season.

Since then, left back Conor Townsend has been speaking about the influence of Shan, revealing he's enhanced morale in an interview, per the Express & Star.

The reaction from sections of the Midlands club supporter base has been a show of frustration, claiming that they had found themselves in the same scenario.

They suggested that previous comments about improved squad dynamics had been made under Gary Megson and Moore but they still had to leave the club.

Townsend was a bit part player under the previous regime at the Hawthorns but has started both of the matches that have taken place since Shan took charge.
