SIX candidates for West Brom gig

West Brom have begun their search for a new boss and Jeremy Peace hasn’t made things easy for the new man coming in. There will be no funds to spend in January and record signings Victor Anichebe and Stephane Sessegnon will be expected to be the focal points of the Albion side for the rest of the season. Exorbitant fees were paid for them, and results are expected to follow.

The budget was thrown out the window in the summer and there were high expectations at The Hawthorns that the Baggies were going to push for a top ten spot.

Steve Clarke may have galvanised the West Midlands outfit to the very top of the Premier League in the Champions League positions at the beginning of last season, but he was never able to regain that momentum this term when his side started losing games.

The situation now though is far from a disaster, West Brom may have lost four games on the spin, but there is an abundance of talent and a style of play that several managers would love to take on board.

The Baggies are two points off the relegation zone but West Brom will probably not be looking to employ a man who had only been a number two, as boss, this time around.
